Gail M. Stockton is an innovative leader in the field of Training and Organizational Development. She has over 28 years of experience combining both e-learning with leadership development to create high performing work teams. She utilizes technology, when it is available; to teach knowledge and concepts to all levels of an organization and follows it up working with the leadership teams to make sure the expected performance is applied and maintained. She has experience in the creation of performance management tools, high value employee identification, succession planning tools and extensive instructional design expertise.

Gail had extensive leadership experience working in Corporate America at both United Airlines and Alliant Credit Union. She has experience in change management and was chosen to lead several key initiatives as the company transitioned to a global carrier, became employee owned, underwent tremendous growth, experienced the pain of 9/11 and exited from bankruptcy.

Over the years, Gail has expanded her executive coaching technique by becoming certified by Gallup as a Strengths Coach. She helps others identify their innate talents and strengths and explores the following questions:

1. What do I do best?

2. How can I take my life and enhance it?

3. How could I have made that task easier?

The strength-based philosophy that she brings works best with those who are willing to risk betting your life on your strengths, because you also realize the risks of not doing so are far greater. Using your strengths is the key to your personal engagement and success. In this capacity, she best lives her tag line “Teaching others to teach themselves.”

Being a pioneer in the field of e-learning, Gail has worked with development teams to create computer-based simulations that taught employees how to use their workstation to do their job. She was responsible when personal computers were introduced into the workforce and took e-learning to the enterprise-wide level when the concept of e-ticketing was launched in the airline industry. She is fascinated with technology and remains current in the field looking forward to when nearly everyone will access whatever resource they need from the palm of their hand.

She continued to excel in Corporate America. Gail has presented at the National ASTD Conference, “What’s Keeping Your CEO Up At Night?” and is sought out to make presentations at sales meetings and to design and facilitate large scale events. Classroom presentation skills for leadership and management development are also a passion particularly when they concentrate on coaching skills or Emotional Intelligence. Gail received her BA from DePaul University and has continued her education by being certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. She is a member of ASTD and SHRM. Her work was recognized by Training Magazine and selected as Editor’s Choice in the 2004 Edition of Top 100 Training Organizations.

Gail was featured along with others in the book Saving the Corporate Soul & (Who Knows) Maybe Your Own by David Batstone as he declared his eight principles for creating and preserving integrity and profitability without selling out in corporate America. Her chapter entitled “Valuing the Worker,” speaks to her belief that all companies should create a learning environment.
